Elevated image settings

Themes look better with high resolution images. When viewing on a Retina, 4K, or greater screen, image quality demands are higher; low resolution images suffer.

We recommend using JPG images for photography and still images with complex colors due to their greater quality compared to other formats.

Use PNG images for graphics, icons, logos without gradients, and when a transparent background is needed.

When possible, use large images: the theme will handle loading the correct image for the required content. Please remember that having text on an image reduces its quality. It can also cause text to be cut off on smaller screens if a mobile-specific image is not used.

Shopify has set limits for images of 4472 by 4472 pixels (20 Megapixels) and file sizes of up to 20 MB.  While we encourage you to upload high-resolution files, remember that the heavier the file, the longer it will take to load the page. Here is a Shopify Image Resizer ↗ you can use.
