Pages

If you have a Shopify online store, then you can create pages in your Shopify admin. You can create pages such as About Us ↗, Product Instructions, and more.

First, you need to create a page in Online Store > Pages.

Then, you can add a new template in your store editor and assign the newly created page to it.

Add a new page to your online store


Steps

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Pages ↗.
  2. Click + Add page.
  3. Enter a title and content for the page. Be descriptive and clear when choosing your page title. Follow Shopify's Add content to a page ↗ instructions. Your page title is displayed in the tab or title bar of browsers, and also in search engine results ↗.
  4. In the Visibility section, select when the page should be published. By default, your new page is visible after you click Save. Select the Hidden option if you want your new page to be hidden from your online store, or click Set a specific publish date to control when your page is published ↗.
  5. Optional: To display a published page in your online store navigation, add a link ↗ to it in a menu.
  6. Click Save.

Managing page template

Steps

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes ↗.
  2. Find the theme that you want to edit, and then click Customize.
  3. Select the template that you want to edit from the Home Page drop-down menu.
  4. Click Pages > Default page.
  5. In Template section, click Page. In the menu to the right you will see the customization options for the template.
  6. In the Page section, click Select page and choose you the page you want to assign to this template and press Done. Scroll up this page to view instructions on how to create a new page.
  7. You can change the size of your Heading in the Heading size. Available options are Small, Medium, and Large.
  8. You can also change the Heading alignment by choosing the Left, Center, or Right option.
  9. Change the Color scheme of your page. Use the Edit button to modify the color scheme. Use the Change button to switch between the different schemes.
  10. Text alignment options are Left, Center, or Right.
  11. (Optional) You can change both top and bottom section padding (the empty space above and below the section) and set it anywhere from 0px to 100px.

  14. When you're satisfied with your section, click Save.
